ASSESSORS MEETING MINUTES
FEBRUARY 6, 2003
7:00 P.M. Called meeting to order. Present: Paula Keefe, Ellen
Abelson and Mark Mazur. Signed a bill voucher and abatement records.
7:05 P.M. Old Business
The Board noted that a group from Moose Hill Parkway will be meeting with the Board at 7:30 P.M. tonight. We are expecting six people to attend the meeting. The Board discussed in general terms the issues involved.
7:10 P.M. New Business
The board signed two lien releases and a certificate of penalty taxes due on 69 High Plain Street, parcel #123009000. The parcel has not been in classified land for over fifteen years and no penalty taxes are due on the property.
The Administrative Assessor informed the Board that he will be appointed a member of the Brookline Board of Assessors. It is a part-time position that will not interfere with his responsibilities with the Town of Sharon.
The Board reviewed a withdrawal form for an FY2002 Appellate Tax Board case on parcel #64-8. No abatement was granted for this withdrawal.
The board of Assessors read a letter from the Personnel Board confirming their approval of an upgrade in the Administrative Assistant position.
The Board was notified that our FY2004 Personal Property revaluation contractor will begin their work on 2/10/2003 and that a notice will be going into the local newspapers.
The Board read a notice concerning the amount of Sharon’s fiscal year 2003 local aid reduction.
The Board took the following actions on fiscal year 2003 applications for abatement on the following parcels:

7:30 P.M. A meeting was held with the following fiscal year 2003 Moose Hill Parkway
applicants for abatement: Constance Keegan, Ronald Simmons, Josh
Simons, Charles Keegan, Ann Sestak, Frank Sestak, Howard A. Williams,
Pat Simmons and Paul Jansen. They presented their concerns about the
Assessment of their property in comparison with other properties in town.
